Happy New Year! It is that time of year when a resolutions abound. Last year, my crafting resolutions centered around clean up and organization. Although I had my moments (or, more likely, my weeks!) i did a decent job on keeping with the need to clean up after a project and putting tools and toys away after purchase/usage. I will continue to work on these this year.
I have discovered - more likely, admitted to myself....out loud...so I had to pay attention...that I indeed have too much card stock. Blasphemy to some, I know...but the evidence is spilling off the shelves. I guess that takes us to another goal - buy less and use more! I have already started to accomplish this - at least the "buy less"part! How did you do with last year's resolutions? Made any new ones for 2012? Do tell!

Of New Year's Resolutions...
On my January 4th post, I discussed New Year's Art/Craft Resolutions. I am finally getting around to one of them - cleaning my desk! Not only have I been cleaning, I have been clearing out a lot more "stuff". (All this is being done as I am getting my daughter ready to study abroad in the Netherlands this semester. But that is a whole different story!) As you can see in the photo above, I really did use about 5 square inches in which to create!
Yesterday I was able to make some headway on my desk cleaning. It is much neater and better organized - and look at all that space! I even went through and purged the desktop storage and baskets. I am starting to get "itchy" to create again. Amazing how nice a clean and organized desk makes your feel.
I even cleaned up this area - I now have space to stand and work. Often, and depending upon what I am doing, I would rather stand than sit. This area has not been this organized since I moved into my studio! Of course, now the challenge will be to keep this up!
Next up in the cleaning and purging will be a couple of room and closets shelves. All in good time! How are your resolutions coming along?

What I have been doing
instead of blogging is cleaning out. There are 2 stores that have fleas markets that allow one to sell used stamps, extra papers, supplies, etc. One sale occurred in August and then next is this month. I cannot wait to get rid of all this extra stuff!
Have you gone through your supplies recently? How many items to save "just in case"? With the changing of the seasons( we had some rain yesterday in No Ca!), it is time to do some creative housecleaning and get ready for winter. I had too much "just in case" items. Not any more!
